Who books this trip

Four very different Long Beach trips

Cruise embarkation

Flying into LAX for a sailing out of the Long Beach Cruise Terminal? We time the pickup around your ship's check-in window and the vehicle around your real bag count — cruise parties travel heavy.

Conventions & business

Direct runs to the Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center and downtown offices, with a quiet cabin to reset in after the flight.

Family visits & residents

Belmont Shore, Bixby Knolls, Naples — a fixed-quote ride home beats coordinating an airport pickup or wrangling a rideshare queue with car seats. Seats arranged at booking.

Groups & events

Aquarium functions, waterfront weddings and group check-ins ride together in one Sprinter instead of a convoy of app cars.

Pickup, step by step

LAX arrival to Long Beach drop, step by step

  1. Flight-tracked from departure

Your pickup follows the aircraft, not the booking clock — early arrivals and delays adjust the reservation automatically.

  2. Terminal meet, bags loaded

Your chauffeur coordinates the arrivals-level pickup by text once you've claimed luggage. Traveling with cruise-volume bags? That's exactly what the SUV and Sprinter are for. In-terminal meet-and-greet can be requested at booking.

  3. The right corridor south

Most runs take the 405 south to the 710; when the 405 stacks up, the Century/110 or surface-street approach through the South Bay can win. Your chauffeur decides with live traffic, not habit.

  4. Drop where it actually helps

Cruise terminal curb at Harbor Scenic Drive, hotel forecourt, Convention Center entrance or a residential driveway — the drop is planned to the address, not the neighborhood.

Route guidance

Cruise days, convention days and the 405

The run: Long Beach sits about 23 miles south of LAX. The standard route is I-405 south to I-710 south, ending at the waterfront in 30–40 minutes off-peak. Weekday 6–9 am and 3–7 pm windows can push the same run toward an hour — worth knowing if your ship or session has a hard cutoff.

Cruise mornings deserve margin. For sailings from the Long Beach Cruise Terminal, we recommend planning the pickup so you reach the terminal early in your check-in window rather than at its close — boarding queues are far calmer, and a flight hiccup doesn't cascade into a missed ship. Tell us the sailing time when you book and the schedule is built backwards from it.

Convention & downtown drops: the Convention Center, the Aquarium of the Pacific, Shoreline Village and the downtown hotel cluster all sit within a few blocks; a door drop saves the parking-structure walk with luggage. Residential Long Beach — Belmont Shore, Naples, Bixby Knolls — is a normal drop-off, not an upcharge zone.

Flying out of LGB instead? Long Beach Airport pickups and drop-offs are also served — if your itinerary mixes LAX in and LGB out, book each leg to the airport your ticket actually uses.

What the quote covers

  • Your confirmed quote shows the full price and exactly what it includes before you pay — no surge pricing and no surprise line items at the kerb.
  • Complimentary wait time is tied to your flight's actual arrival — your chauffeur tracks the flight and adjusts the pickup automatically. The exact included wait window appears on your booking confirmation.

  • Curbside pickup is included on every airport transfer. In-terminal meet-and-greet can be arranged on request — ask when booking and it will be confirmed on your quote.

Good to know

Questions travelers actually ask

How long does it take to get from LAX to Long Beach?
Typically 30–55 minutes depending on the hour: off-peak runs land near the half-hour mark, weekday rush windows can approach an hour. Your chauffeur routes with live traffic; times are estimates, never guarantees.
How much is a car service from LAX to Long Beach?
The exact price is shown as a fixed quote per vehicle class before you confirm — check yours in the booking portal. Once booked, the price is locked regardless of traffic.
Do you drop off at the Long Beach Cruise Terminal?
Yes — curbside at the terminal on Harbor Scenic Drive, timed to your ship's check-in window. Tell us the sailing time and cruise line when booking so the pickup is planned backwards from boarding, with margin for the 405.
How much luggage fits for a cruise trip?
An executive sedan carries 2–3 large cases; the luxury SUV handles 5–6 plus carry-ons; a Sprinter takes a full group's cruise luggage and gear. Book by your real bag count, not just headcount — cruise parties usually need one size up.
Can you pick us up at Long Beach Airport (LGB) instead?
Yes — LGB pickups and drop-offs are standard service. If you land at LAX but fly home from LGB, book each leg separately to the right airport and both will be flight-tracked.
What about the return trip to LAX?
The reverse run has its own page with departure-timing guidance for flights and disembarkation mornings — see Long Beach to LAX car service.
