Wheelchair-Accessible LAX Car Service
Patient, hands-on chauffeured transfers for elderly and reduced-mobility travelers at LAX. We meet you at the terminal, lend a steady arm, and stow folding manual wheelchairs and walkers in our SUVs and Sprinter vans — door to door, no rushing. Need a power chair or a lift-equipped van? Call first and we’ll confirm the right option.
Quick Answer
Yes — Beverly Hills Lux Ride accommodates travelers with reduced mobility. Our chauffeurs assist passengers with a steady arm, meet you inside the terminal, and load folding / collapsible manual wheelchairs and mobility walkers into our SUVs (Cadillac Escalade ESV, Chevrolet Suburban) and Mercedes Sprinter vans for a calm, door-to-door ride. We are not a lift-equipped WAV fleet: if you use a non-folding power / electric wheelchair or need a ramp or lift, please call 424-209-2006 first so we can confirm the right vehicle or arrange a suitable option. Flat rate, quoted at booking.
What We Provide for Reduced-Mobility Travelers
Air travel is hard enough when walking is difficult. Our chauffeurs are briefed to slow down, stay close, and treat every passenger with patience — from the curb to the cabin and all the way to your door. For elderly parents, recovering patients, and anyone traveling with a walker or a folding chair, we make the LAX leg the easy part.
- Meet-and-greet at the terminal. Your chauffeur meets you inside at baggage claim with a name sign, helps with bags, and walks alongside you to the vehicle — no long solo trek to a remote pickup curb.
- A steady arm, never a rush. We offer support stepping in and out of the vehicle and take the time you need. No hurrying, no impatience.
- Folding wheelchairs & walkers stowed. The chauffeur folds, lifts, and loads your manual wheelchair or walker into the cargo area, then unloads and sets it up curbside on arrival.
- True door-to-door. We collect you at the terminal and deliver you to the entrance of your home, hotel, or medical facility — not just a nearby curb.
- Coordinated with airline assistance. We work with the airline’s wheelchair / skycap service so the handoff between the gate, the terminal, and our vehicle is smooth.
Folding vs. Power Wheelchairs — Please Read
We want to be straight with you so there are no surprises at the curb. Our vehicles are luxury SUVs and vans, not ramp- or lift-equipped wheelchair-accessible vehicles (WAVs). What that means in practice:
Folding / manual wheelchairs & walkers
Fully accommodated. If the chair collapses or folds, our chauffeur stows it in the cargo space of an Escalade ESV, Suburban, or Sprinter while you ride in a comfortable seat. Bring it to the terminal and we handle the lifting and loading.
Power / electric or non-folding chairs
Call first. Heavy power chairs and rigid-frame chairs generally need a ramp or lift we don’t carry. Phone 424-209-2006 before booking and we’ll either confirm whether the chair fits our vehicles or help arrange a suitable lift-equipped option through a partner.
Either way, a quick call lets us match you to the right vehicle and chauffeur. We would rather get it right in advance than leave you stranded at the airport.
Which Vehicle Is Best?
- Cadillac Escalade ESV / Chevrolet Suburban. A high, easy-to-enter seat, plenty of legroom, and a large cargo bay for a folded wheelchair plus luggage — the most popular choice for an elderly or reduced-mobility traveler with a companion.
- Mercedes Sprinter van. The most spacious step-in for groups, family, or a caregiver traveling alongside, with room for a folding chair, a walker, and several bags.
- Sedan (Mercedes S-Class). Available for a single traveler with a walker or light folding chair, though our SUVs are easier to get in and out of for most reduced-mobility passengers.
- Not sure? Tell us the chair or walker you travel with and how many in your party, and we’ll recommend the vehicle that boards most comfortably.
